This photograph was taken at the prestigious Palais Garnier Opera House in Paris during a trip in 2010 to capture images for George’s Symphonica album cover and the subsequent 2011 and 2012 tour, during which he fulfilled a life long ambition to tour and perform alongside an orchestra at some of the most beautiful venues and amphitheatres around the world. George not only performed a carefully chosen selection of his own material from his remarkable career, but he also covered some of the best loved standards as well as some of his favourite songs from other artists. In France, George Michael made history when he became the first pop star ever to perform a concert at the Palais Garnier Opera House in Paris on September 9th, 2012.
